She was 17 weeks old, close to four months, on her first day surfing at Del Mar Dog Beach 2/9/16. She took to water with great enthusiasm, loved the action of the waves, and enjoyed phenomenal success under the guidance of her owner, Coach Pat Weber, of the San Diego Surfing Academy LLC. Coach Pat and Stella’s Mommy, Lori Hoffman RN, have been frequent Helen Woodward Animal Center surf dog volunteers over the years and now having a budding surf star of their own!
