This hands-on training course will teach you a variety of skills that can be used to
stabilize a pet during an emergency and preventive care. You will learn Pet CPR, rescue breathing, first aid, restraining and muzzling, choking management, fractures/bleeding protocols, care for heatstroke, frostbite, poisoning, seizures, shock and more.This special class will also cover:
Water safety, including care for jellyfish stings, salt water dehydration and
drowning. Each student will have use of a demo dog and first aid supplies during class. What to bring:
Wear loose-fitting clothing, bring a notepad and pen. What NOT to bring:
Sorry NO pets – they are too cute and distractive. However, you will get to practice your skills on demo stuffed dogs AND Peter’s Nani and Kiki, plus Arden’s very tolerant cat, Zeki.Homework assignment:
