A photo of the 'Most Surf Dogs on One Wave' From the 2012 Helen Woodward Animal Center's Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon was featured on the PR Newswire screens in Times Square and Las Vegas! Dozer won First Place in the Puppy Luv 5k Run/Walk costume Contest on Sunday, February 12th, 2012. The event raised funds for the Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe, California. Owner's Gigi and Doug show us Dozer's "Looking for Love" award winning costume!
We WON! The SoCal Surf Dogs entry for the 2012 Helen Woodward Animal Center's Surf-A-Thon Billboard Contest took first place! At the same time we successfully raised more funds for the Animal Center to continue their good work! This photo will be seen on several Billboards throughout San Diego during August and September in 2012 to help promote the Helen Woodward Animal Center's Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon. Congratulations to all the SoCal Surf Dogs who participated in the photo shoot! The best surf dogs showed up for the most competitive surf competition yet, The 6th annual Helen Woodward Animal Center's Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon! A hugh crowd came to cheer on the best of the best! No tricks, stunts or Drama Queens, just hard core Surf Dogs doing their thing!! The surf was great despite the 'Red Tide'. Buddy the Jack Russel Terrier from Venture took first place and was the First Surf Dog Entered into the 'Surf Dog Hall of Fame'. Buddy you ROCK! SoCal Surf Dog Nani, a Bernese Mountain Dog, won second place and SoCal Surf Dog Dozer an English Bulldog (AKA 'Da Bull') won third. The SoCal Surf Dogs won the 'Doo the Dah as Well!
